For those of you who don’t know, I was a professional opera singer earlier in my life before I became a real estate agent. Although I am no longer a working professional in the art, I still greatly enjoy it. And I love to help others discover its beauty for the first time. If you’re interested in finding out more about this wonderful art form, then there is an excellent event for you coming up this month.
LA Opera’s Newcomer Kickoff Party
LA Opera is hosting a Newcomer Kickoff Party on August 28th. It will give you a taste of the opera so you can see if you may be interested. This free, open house event features a behind-the-scenes look at the production, tours of the historic Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and a recital by the resident artists!
The Newcomer Kickoff Party is also to promote LA Opera’s Newcomer Nights, which is a package deal of three hand-picked shows: Macbeth, Abduction from the Seraglio, and Tosca. In addition to seeing the show, those attending the Newcomer Nights will have access to exciting pre-performance lectures, special intermission receptions, and exclusive behind-the-scenes activities – all catered for those new to the world of opera.
